Mission & Vision

I am running for Franklin County Commissioner so we
can bring a new generation of leadership to our county
and, with it, new jobs and opportunities for the workers
and families of Central Ohio.
As your Franklin County Commissioner, I will work every
day to create new jobs and fight foreclosures in our county.

I believe we face a home foreclosure crisis in Central Ohio.
My Clerk’s office has seen a 75% increase in foreclosure
cases over the last seven years.  This crisis grows as
thousands of family emergencies turn “just enough” into
“just can’t make it.”

Fighting foreclosures is key to everything we want to do
as a county.  This crisis undermines job creation, threatens
regional development, and robs those most in need of vital
human services.

Commissioner Mary Jo Kilroy has taken the first regional
steps to face this challenge and has asked me to continue
the fight.

Here is my plan for growing our economy and fighting
foreclosures.

One.  We must work together as a region.  I will work
with everyone on a foreclosure task force that creates a
comprehensive, regional solution.

Two.  We must engage the community in our government
full-time.  I will be a full-time Commissioner so every voice
is heard.

Three.  We must demonstrate fiscal responsibility, like I have
done as Clerk.

Four.  We must lift up every city, township and village with
the jobs of the future.

Five.  We must fight for the opportunity for all to succeed.
We must support expanded access to Early Childhood Learning
Programs, the Affordable Housing Trust Fund, and Neighborhood
Health Centers.

I hope you will join our broad-based coalition of supporters.
I believe I have this support for a reason – I have the experience
that matters, the priorities we share, and the proven ability to
work with everyone to create real change in Franklin County.
